pan cuba sandwich kamata

There is a tiny shop near the Keikyu Kamata Station called Pan Cuba Sandwich Kamata.

Last year, they apparently won 1st place in the non-traditional cuban sandwich category at the Ford International Cuban Sandwich Festival.

Their bread is made by a local bakery, Mimolette.

I tried their Kamata Cuban...1400 yen (tax included)

There is grainy mustard, orange peel, loin ham, cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, american pork, pickles, salami, mayo, butter and honey in there...boy was it hefty!

loved the crust of the bread, so crisp!

I don't think I've ever had a cuban, but loved this version.

They also have a traditional version on their menu, but I would get this one again.

Was there a line? I would think if it won awards, it would be an hour wait at the least. Looks so ono so hope no lines!
BTW, don't remember if I asked before but do you know why all Japan tourist HAVE to take pictures in front of the Manoa Starbucks?
