I'm glad I got to try their coffee float...780 yen (tax included)
Satoshi had their passion fruit soda...880 yen (tax included) (no photo)
I usually get their hot cakes but it was close to dinner time…it was nice to try something different.
Semi-rant: getting a new cell phone is as painful as buying a new car...
(In Japan, you can add all sorts of things to your cell phone account...internet, gas, electricity, any kind stuff...) so they try to "sell" you all kinds of stuff
on top of that, there is so much that changed from the time you bought the cell phone you have until the time you intend to buy a new one...
I was disappointed (kinda mad) at the way the "young" staff member spoke to us, it seemed super condescending.
And then we had to go back the next day because we had gotten rid of a cell phone email address (because they were gonna charge us a monthly to keep it) when we bought the new cell phone, but realized that the trashed email address was attached to the cell phone’s point card account and couldn’t change the address to a new one...sigh
Luckily, we didn't have to make a new appointment and the woman at the shop was able to help us
Anyway...he has a new phone, Kat was super stressed trying to set it up (we usually get the new cell phones at the same time so that Kat can be “someone’s” tech support)
Hoping Kat's cell phone lasts a little longer, otherwise we might have to do this again...
I hate change.
ReplyDeleteJalna, I not too good with change too, Take care, Kat
DeleteGod forbid I need a new cell. The trauma of it all. My life is literally on this thing....my bank, my pass codes, my health insurance, my medical records, the list goes on. Then to transfer, the data, then having to LEARN the new phone. It's too hard on an aging brain. Most seniors here just have an old fashion type of phone, no texting or internet, just a phone. I do have a tablet so a backup that synches up with my phone but still ... N
ReplyDeleteOh my N, I hope your cell lasts you a long time! Take care! Kat
DeleteGood lord...all that for a new cell phone?
ReplyDeleteKirk, sad, yeah?! Take care, Kat
DeleteHahaha, about having to match with Satoshi so you can teach him and help him. My daughter has samsung, although not the fold but she's too grouchy to ask (genetics, LOL)
ReplyDeleteMy phone Galaxy fold 4 is broken so when I open it to tablet form, nothing happens, cost $500 plus 5 weeks to repairs because have to send it away. New fold 7 supposed to be coming out within a month and I'm more scared of having to transfer and learn new stuff especially since I haven't even used 80% of the features on my current phone. I'm old. plus, I'm afraid to put my banking, cards, etc. because fear of hacking and what if it breaks, gotta carry cards and everything with you anyway. and on and on.
I guess I should start practicing now. Fortunately I have a co-worker who is just as sold on Samsung as me and he knows everything and plans to get the fold 7 also.!
v
V, hope you get them to teach you how :) Take care, Kat
