swiss treats

My aunty's friend, W1, just came back from Switzerland and brought these delicious florentines to our Sunday dinner.

These are made by a Swiss confectioner called Laederach (sorry, I don't know how to change the font to German). The bottoms are different kinds of chocolate-milk and dark and the tops are a thin brittle with almonds and citrus peel. Thank you!

Have a great week!

  1. I am so loving the stuff that you're eating! The florentines...WOW! The garlic fried chicken...OMG! And the hotdog at Costco {insert guilty face here}, I guess we islanders, ex or not, are helpless when it comes to cheap eats. :-P

    Keep the food comin'!

  3. Just to let you know it's colder here on Okinawa (42 degrees F) than in Osaka (44 degrees F)!

Going to be a rough two weeks more!

  5. My favourite chocolates are mostly from Switzerland or other European countries. They really do make nice chocolates.

  6. I like the European chocolates too, Sue, and Swiss chocolates are always creamy and rich--they sell the brand I was speaking of in Japan and Korea too, maybe you can find some near you (or the next time you go to Seoul)!

    Take care.
