Saturday, I went out with BFF to walk around Windward Mall in Kaneohe. We hadn't been there in ages and boy, were there lots of changes to the Mall and a LOT of people there too.
Since we were getting hungry, we decided to check out Boston's North End Pizza. It had been several years since we ate here and it actually had moved from the location we had known them to be at, to a location closer to Windward Mall.
One thing that hadn't changed was the size of the slice of pizza that you get. It is still HUGE and equals about the size of 4 slices. I got the Boston Special, which is their Supreme. It was delicious and just how I remembered it!
I was surprised at how much the price had gone up (now US$6.90), but for the slice size and taste, I would still say that it was worth it.
Hi Kat! I like the spinach, garlic, mushroom pizza from Boston's. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhen you like go Chinatown?
ReplyDeleteooh that is great too, Laura!
ReplyDeleteHow long are you home for, Nate? I'll email you.
Take care you two.

Yum, will definitely check that out next time in Hawaii--good pizza is almost as hard to find in Japan as good Mexican food, lol!
ReplyDeleteGoing to try to start going back from 26 Feb.
ReplyDeleteYes, TM! Though I like the crust from Pizza-la. Haven't had it in awhile though.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Nate!
Take care you two.

Hi Kat,
ReplyDeleteThe Boston Special is also my favorite. If I'm getting take out I like to put it in the toaster at home to make the pepperoni extra crispy! :)
That's a huge size of pizza :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kat!
ReplyDeleteThe prices at Boston's has gone up considerably over the last few years...Back when I was in high school they'd have "afterschool" specials of $2 cheese slices!
ooh, extra crispy pepperoni sounds addicting, Lori!
ReplyDeleteit was very huge and very delicious, CN!
just shows you how long I hadn't been there, Kathy :)
Take care everyone!
Kat
That is so fun! Boston's North End Pizza - must be run by Boston Italians? The North End of Boston has some of the best pizza in the US.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'm not sure if they are from Boston, Jenndz. I've been to Boston and do agree that some of the best pizza does come from the North End :)
ReplyDeleteTake care.

Just wanted to share my negative experience at Boston's. My friend had a XX% off coupon from (I think) the Entertainment coupon book. The proprietor was a jerk about the coupon; he really didn't want to take it and was nasty to my friend when she misunderstood the conditions for redeeming it. I wanted to leave, but at my friend's insistence, we ended up ordering a full size pizza and eating half of it there. When my friend asked for a container to take the rest home, the same odious turd of a man refused to give her a container. We ended up rubberbanding our two used plates together to take it home. And the pizza was really just average. I've never understood the love people have for that place. (We went to the same location you did.)
ReplyDeleteThat is so awful, Anon! Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Hopefully the owners will read this post/comments and change their ways.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Kat
Sorry, Kat! I just re-read your post and shamefully admit we didn't go to the same location you went to. We went to the location across from Kahala Mall. Sorry, I guess I was kind of mad when I wrote that post.
ReplyDeleteNo prob Anon! I hope those owners will change their ways :)
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Kat
anon - that pizza place across Kahala Mall is Antonio's Pizzeria, not a Boston's North End Pizza place.
ReplyDeleteYikes, Nate, they are opening in Aiea soon :)
ReplyDeleteTake care.
