On Saturday, Satoshi had his annual physical, so he couldn't eat breakfast, he had to fast.
Since he couldn't eat breakfast, I went back to Ferdinand, while he went to the doctor, to check out their breakfast.
I ordered their french toast and was surprised that it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I thought about it, and remembered that in Japan french toast and pancakes are served as dessert items.
I liked Ferdinand's french toast. They used brioche and all their breakfast items came with a salad.
I was amazed that no one was there for breakfast, but surprised there was a lot of foot traffic to buy bread.
Next time, I'm bringing Satoshi to try their breakfast.
Don't put any more ideas in my head. I am still craving for tuna salad and kimchee.
ReplyDeletehe he...Rowena, I thought you had some tuna with kim chee??

ReplyDeleteIce cream and salad - what a combo:)
Funny huh? When you go to a Western type restaurant in Japan, Deb, check out their dessert menu, you'll see the french toast and pancakes there :)

I also think that pancakes and waffles and maybe even french toast should be served as dessert! They are so sweet!
