Even with all the errands and appointments I've been running with my grandma and parents, I've still taken the time to take in some sights...
A beautiful orchid in my mom's collection...
A beautiful sunrise on my morning walk...I was trying to "copy" my Flickr friend, Rex's photo...my photo does not even come close.
This statue of a Japanese fisherman had been in my grandparents home for ages.
This canister at my grandma's reminded me of the canisters my mom used to keep her flour and sugar in.
This ceramic dog near the butsudan (altar) another piece that had been in my grandparents home for ages.
A beautiful sunset...
The low tones of this wind chime to let you know that the tradewinds are back...
Hi KAt,
ReplyDeleteI started the day with this post. It was a really nice entry:)

I think you did a pretty good job with the sunrise, considering how busy you've been. I like the part where Rex said making lemonade out of lemons...hehe.
ReplyDeleteLove that ceramic of the fisherman!
this is a great post Kat!! Those little things that are often left unnoticed bring joy and colors to our world!!
ReplyDeleteLove your pics!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! That orchid is so beautiful and bright and I love that canister and the figurines at your grandparents' house.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tamakikat, Rowena, Dhanggit, Jalna & Debinhawaii :)

I love all the little detail pictures you chose... too many times we think of hawaii as just beaches, but your photos capture local color too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary :)
ReplyDeleteTake care.
