things I've been enjoying

Tirol chocolate has teamed up with Frito-Lay, chocolate covered cheetos...different but soothes the sweet/salty cravings....128 yen (about uS$1.28)

Found this Ritter Sport bar at Carrefour, Caramel Nuts, I checked out Ritter Sport's site, can you believe that this bar is made in Germany but has never been sold in Germany? Amazing!

Caramel cream with hazelnuts and rice krispies....it made for gooey s'mores...298 yen (about US$2.98)

Pafonte's cream pan (bread)...a cute tiger shape filled with delicious custard cream...150 yen (about US$1.50)

Ooh, and the Lavender Earl Grey Tea Lattes are back at Starbucks...yeah! (short 370 yen (about US$3.70))

What have you been enjoying lately?

  1. lavender earl gray sounds wonderful - the flavors in Japan are much more adventurous. Starbucks only started doing green tea maybe 2 years ago? And I've never seen this flavor - Even green tea ice cream is 'just' showing up in some grocery stores although you can get it at asian resturants and stores... And I think the US is light years away from choc. covered fritos!

  3. I love how before you eat something you have to snap a picture. . . sounds like me. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I absolutely would not be able to resist chocolate-covered Cheetos - if only so I could tell people I'd tried them! :P For my part, today I've eaten half a bar of Theo's 91% Venezuela bar and half of Endangered Species' 88% Black Panther bar - obviously, I had some serious dark chocolate cravings. Recommend both though :)

(Time for me to eat some vegetables!)

  6. I could have sworn the Starbucks in the states have this flavor Tracy, maybe I was mistaken :)

    Weird but good Kirk :)

Yeah Jalna, sometimes before we eat and I don't have my camera out, Satoshi says, "aren't you gonna photograph it?"

    Cute and delicious Pocky :)

    Take care everyone!

  8. I would be interested to know why you think Ritter Sports are not sold in Germany. I discovered Ritter Sports in the 80's on a trip to Heidelberg. It was quite some time after that I could find them in the states.

  10. Michelle, I guess my writing wasn't too clear, this particular flavor was not sold in Germany (per their website). The rest of the flavors are made and sold in Germany.

    Thanks Debinhawaii :)

    Take care you two.

  12. I haven't even seen that Karamell Nuss here. Do you get all 3 types of Toblerone? Snickers? Mars bars? I am *craving* Snickers.

  13. Check your Starbucks site before going Tracy, I'd hate to have you disappointed!

I think we get Toblerone, Snickers and some European Mars, Rowena, I also try to buy some candies from Longs (now CVS) whenever I'm home. Hope you can get your Snickers fix, if you have peanuts, chocolate and caramel, you may be able to make your own...

    Take care you two.

  14. The cream pan is so cute! I hope I can find something like this in the Japanese bakery here.

Just to share with you that we are having honey orange flavoured drinks at Starbucks. I have tried the Honey Orange Mocha Frappucino and it's great! Will try the Honey Orange Latte next.
