The "beets" have been harvested.
I say "beets" because there really weren't ruby colored orbs like I had envisioned.
In fact, there were more greens than anything.
I peeled what "beets" I had...this was the biggest.
Still, doesn't it look like a jewel?!
5 in all.
We ate this raw, they were quite tender.
For the greens, I wilted them in a non-stick pan and then chopped them up.
We ate these with some mayonnaise...yum!
I've planted more beets, hoping for orbs this time.

Those beet leaves look so healthy. Something nailed main so I threw 'em all in the compost.
