Bing cherries have hit our markets and their prices aren't too friendly...I got lucky though and snagged some at the market when they were on special.
I made clafoutis using this recipe. This time around I omitted the oil to grease the dish and used muffin papers instead. (What can I say, I'm lazy!)
I also added some 60% chocolate chips to each before baking.
Summer is coming.
Oh that looks good!
ReplyDeletenot much sugar in it so you may enjoy this Genki :)

Summer just left us here in Australia. :( I'm so jealous you have summer coming your way! I miss cherries too, they're practically non-existent at the moment, apart from the super expensive imported ones :( But love the recipe and the looks of the clafoutis :D I'll make them when I can get my hands on cherries.
ReplyDeleteOooohhh that looks yummy! Is it a muffin with cherries or is the texture different? Looks like it might be more moist.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like this Jenny!
ReplyDeleteThe texture more like baked mochi Jalna.
Take care you two.

Not lazy! Just environment-friendly (you didn't have to waste water and use soap for washing the pans). I'm curious to see how the big and black-red durone cherries are going to be selling. With the weird weather we experienced in spring, I think crops might've been compromised.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll be able to enjoy those cherries and that their crops weren't compromised because of the weather, Rowena!
