bubbies

Thought I posted about Bubbies before, but I guess not.

Went there the other Saturday with BFF.

It was pretty empty and the guy behind the counter wasn't too nice.

We didn't know "how the system worked" so he turned into "Mr Personality" when we asked...oy!

Anywho...their ice cream is sold by weight. The bigger scoops are apparently the size of a tennis ball and run about $3 each, maybe more depending on their weight!

Since I didn't want scoops THAT big, I tried kiddie scoops of mint chip and peanut butter chip...$3.97 Both were great, though I liked mint chip better, the mint seemed naturally flavored.

BFF tried their kiddie scoops of Banana Peanut Butter and Dark Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip (I think that was the name).

Real chunks of banana in this one and the dark chocolate one was rich!

I think if they change the attitude of that server, we'll be back.

    Stores with character, I can appreciate - but not being downright rude!

    Give a call to the main warehouse in Halawa and speak to the owner, I know he would fix the situation .

    However service at any service oriented business in my opinion has changed alot and good service is a bonus nowadays not a given. Sad but true.

    You should post your comments and opinions on Yelp. So that other Yelpers can see your comments about the product as well as the bad customer service. Hopefully the owner or franchise holder will see it too.

    ages ago, at Bubbies with my mom we had this experience:
    Server: would you like a single or a double scoop?
    Mom: I'll take a double
    Server: Oh, we don't do doubles.

    HUH? I don't even know why she said that, but .... go figure.
