made in hawaii

I prefer dark roasted coffees, so I was interested in trying Kauai Coffee's Single Origin Koloa Estate.

When you open the bag, you can smell the richness of the coffee.

The acidity seemed to be high, but I enjoyed the full body.

  3. Mention the words dark roast and I can actually "smell" it in my mind. Living here has converted me into an espresso drinker and you know how intense those little shots can be, even if by now I am immune to the caffeine.

  4. Oh, I bought this coffee, only different flavor (mine is caramel & coconut), at my local grocery store (East Coast) about 2 weeks ago. I purchased it because I love everything coming from Hawaii (hint: soaps, body lotions, pineapples, chocolate etc.), and I am a huge coffee lover (addict). I love it! The only complaint I do have is that it does not come in whole beans which I prefer since I have an automatic espresso machine. The packaging is very cute, and the coffee is excellent.

  5. I remember you telling me how much espresso grinds you put into your maker, Rowena, yeah, you are immune to caffeine :)

I remember my brother re-grinding his ground coffee, Sandy, it might be a pain to do so though.

    Take care you two.
