I think it was last week that I planted some cilantro and italian parsley and think they have started to sprout...whoo!
You just don't realize how hot it gets in the summer in Japan until you hear from Satoshi that your lavender and rosemary plants which were on your lanai for 10 years, dries up and are no more.
I bought some new lavender and rosemary plants and also added an oregano plant, hopefully these will last.
The sun also blazed my mint plants, so I got another spearmint & a lavender mint plant.
I think I will plant some swiss chard and a couple of beets too.
What is surprising me though, is my freesia has started to produce leaves...
What's happening in your garden?
Love your green thumb Kat!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kirk :)

I can't even begin to talk garden stuff -- been so busy ever since I decided to do a fall/winter garden. What I wish we had more of is sun! The bell peppers take longer to turn yellow or red in our cooler climate. Btw, what's your temps? Ours is averaging between 18-20°C during the day.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute!
ReplyDeleteStrange but true - I am still picking strawberries from my garden! Very unusual for October! (on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State)
ReplyDeleteRowena, our temps are still high during the day, 26C!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jalna!
Kris, glad you still have berries, but the weather is weird right?!
Take care everyone.

26?! Argh, no fair!
ReplyDeletedang I think over the weekend someone said it went up to 27 or 28 Rowena?! so totally wonky, I don't know how to dress these days...
ReplyDeleteTake care.
