It's definitely soup weather over here.
The other night I made a vegetable bean soup with veggies from my fridge (carrot, daikon), veggies from the pantry (onion, potato, dried beans), some pearl barley.
And then just before serving I julienned some kale from the lanai and sliced some cherry tomatoes.
Spices were an Italian seasoning blend and a consomme cube.
Super simple, and a great way to warm up on an icy night.

That looks great and colorful! It's been raining in Maryland all weekend, definitely soup and ramen weather!
ReplyDeleteHi Kat - We kind of look forward to this time of the year because we really get to enjoy soups and stews....it's kinda soup weather here, in San Diego terms. Highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's....

It's soup weather but man what I'd give for a good bowl of ramen (and not instant stuff!). Would also love a bowl of portuguese bean soup.
