You should've seen the prices a couple of weeks before 800 yen or something ridiculous like that.
Even though the peaches were a little greenish in color, when I sliced them, the knife went smoothly in and the outer skin came off without having to use a knife.
Anyway, these are super sweet...whoo!

Glad your peaches were sweet! I on the other hand have been having bad luck with fruit this year...green grapes, cherries, and mangoes were ALL SOUR OR DIDN'T HAVE TASTE! A few weeks back, Jalna got Ranier cherries, so the next week I went and got some from the same market, but must have been another shipment, cuz was SOUR too! Sigh!

Even at those lower prices, I am going to buy extra and eat some for you ^-^ Are those peaches flown in from somewhere or is the peach harvest not that abundant this year?

ReplyDeleteokay Rowena, these are local (from Japan). I think you can order directly from the farms, but we usually don't eat that many at once.
