bambucha
Recently came across another bambucha (huge) vegetable.
A beet at Maeshika.
I roasted it and we have been adding it to salads and eating it with a little mayo.

rarely see fresh beets here (they come precooked and vacumn packed) but loving the exotic stuff coming in from Spain. had cherimoya the other day...yum!

I've seen some vacuum packed beets here too Rowena, but they are quite tiny. Glad you are finding exciting produce from other countries!
