the spoon

I had been looking for the spoon with all the holes in it ever since we had tan tan men at Hokkai-ramen Susukino...and finally found it at Shimojima...a shop in Osaka that sells all sorts of stuff.

Shimojima reminds me of a shop in Hawaii called Fisher Hawaii...they have paper goods, as well as stuff for the office and kitchen.

Anyway, I am glad I have these now, next is to put it to use.

    Kat: Oh so cool! It's good for other things like skimming scum off cooking food. BTW thank you for your nimotsu! I love love everything and I was incredibly overjoyed to get them.     I know I've seen these! Kappabashi? Anyway, I guess I have to wait for my next trip because yah, the best part of the ramen is the "crumb" at the bottom that is hard to get! I love Hokkaido and Hakata ramen, also cold ramen!
