Recently Haagen Dazs came out with 2 new hanamochi flavors...kuri azuki (chestnut & sweet bean)
And sakura an (cherry blossom).
I wished the kuri azuki had more chestnuts in there.
The sakura an was spot on for flavor, not like the last cherry blossom one I had tried.
Both have a soft mochi layer, so you should kind of let it sit out a bit before eating.
With the warm temps we had over the weekend, this was perfect!
I'm glad I got to try these.
Kalin would love those! To bad they don't have them in Hawaii!
ReplyDeleteMich, the difference between Japan's HaagenDazs & US is so different!

ReplyDeletespeaking of frozen desserts, have you heard of Premarché Gelateria? I think you live fairly closeby. they won some kind of gelato competition in Italy recently.
ReplyDeleteI have tried mochi ice cream before and loved it <3
ReplyDeletecold snap the past couple of days Kirk, but next week should be way warmer!
ReplyDeleteJust looked online Rowena, did not know about them and have bookmarked them on my Tabelog (like yelp)...thanks!
Kal, it always amazes me how they can keep the mochi so soft?!
Take care everyone.

yahoo! I stumbled across their blog and went nuts when I saw they served ice cream in square-rimmed cones.
