guerilla-go

The Japanese call sudden rainstorms, guerilla-go.

Guerilla is used because these storms literally come out of nowhere.

Go is the word for heavy rains.

Click on the photo to see the thunder and lightning show we had last Monday night.

The massive rains came a few minutes later and were coming sideways.

The rain totally sounded like someone was powerwashing our windows...

Luckily, we didn't lose power, some other areas were not so lucky.

The weather is so weird these days...it is the start of September but I think we are a long ways away from getting cooler temps.

  1. that lightning bolt at the end was so cool though scary too! Really weird weather lately. Maybe since the heat came so early, the cold will come early too. I hope.

  2. that is nuts weather compared to what we got (just a couple days of rain). the temps have definitely lowered to more comfortable days...and nights!
