For our anniversary, I purchased some Opera cakes from Flammarion.
Apparently they have been in business since 1959.
The cakes were super chocolatey! with a hint of coffee.
They had so many other cakes that I want to try...I'll be back.

googled them and came up with this:
ReplyDeleteTheir baked western style sweet known as “Escargot” has been selected as one of the top 100 souvenirs of Ota. They also sell a variety of other popular western style sweets.
So of course I googled somemore...
Escargot
Danish dough baked traditionally with real butter with a soft and tender texture and then filled with a rich almond-flavored cream with the right hint of rum. This delectable pastry, extremely popular with locals, has been selling for 40 years.
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Thanks for telling me about this Rowena, I went to get some today :)
