This was a really informative reminiscing. Even though I've seen different shapes of musubi, most familiar with triangle. I thought my grandma said only round kind are funerals but didn't know about the totally covered in nori one.
And a hearty taiyaki! sounds delicious, along with coffee flavored almond milk. Will have to look for these at Nijiya or Donki.
