We went to Takeya and Tsukiji outer market where she was able to find the items she wanted to take back with her.
Lunch was at Butadaigaku, one of the places she's been wanting to check out.
The service is quite fast, and these butadon (pork bowls) are super tasty (kind of like kalbi), the pork belly super tender...550 yen (tax included)
This reminded me of something we had in Obihiro, many moons ago. After lunch, we went to check out Yushima Tenjin...it was 4 years ago today that we visited in the rain!
Today the weather was beautiful and the ume in full bloom.
Lots of praying for good scores on exams
Pretty bonsai
She spoiled us this Honke Owariya soba set and cool Aloha Collection bag, which she said is all the rage in Hawaii now.
I hope she enjoyed her self and has a safe trip back.
Thanks for today V!

Did you see that Butadondaigaku is opened on weekends?
ReplyDeleteLOL, I'm already dreaming of it. Guess I gotta look up some recipes and make it, but I think the flavor comes from the grilling!

AND they open early in the morning V!I have a recipe for a similar sauce under Obihiro pork bowls.
