Afterwards, we had planned to have lunch at a coffee shop, but realized while waiting for the train that they wouldn't open until later that day, so we had to figure out Plan B...
Each meal comes with these two boiled potatoes with two pats of butter.
We weren't sure when to incorporate these into the meal but they were delicious!
I ordered the chicken curry with a smaller amount of rice....1600 yen (tax included)Each order comes with cheese and pickles (even ume!), there are also more pickles (rakkyo, fukujinzuke and one other type of tsukemono) on the table…you know who had to “taste” them all…ahem!
Satoshi ordered their beef curry....1600 yen (tax included)I like how they show a little of the meat at the spout so the wait staff can tell which curry is which.
My curry was super fruity...unlike anything I've tasted before and there was a lot of chicken in it too.We both ordered the medium spiciness and it was just enough heat to make Satoshi perspire!
We also shared their pudding...super rich! 500 yen (tax included)
After something spicy, sweet was definitely a must.
That little metal pitcher contained all the caramel sauce your heart desired!
I'm sure we'll be back, and this area has a lot of curry shops, so I'm sure we'll be back to check out more.
After lunch we went to the coffee shop we intended to visit in the first place, Sabouru. There are two of them next to each other, Sabouru is just to have coffee, maybe a beer, or a light meal.
Sabouru 2 is known for their Napolitan and Pork Ginger...the line for this one was krazy especially since it was lunchtime, and since we had already eaten, we went into Sabouru which had no line.
Afterwards, as we walked to the JR Ochanomizu station we walked past Haramaki, this time there was a different cat in the window.
And I've never noticed this little dog above the St Marc Cafe sign before.
