Before meeting up with friend Greg for lunch I also checked out the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center
When I worked in Waikiki, this shopping center was so “dark”
It is now called Royal Hawaiian Center and is so pretty
Loved the huge wooden chairs
and huge ceramic pots
They now have a food court
I also snuck a peek at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel
Lunch was at Ginza Bairin, it’s fast enough for Greg’s lunch break
AND they still give kamaʻaina (local) discount
The katsu is always delicious and the restaurant is always busy
It was nice catching up, thanks for today Greg!

DeleteI think I should go exploring down there. Usually just rushing to a restaurant and not taking the time to look around so vaguely remember how pretty it is.
