The other night had dinner with my friend, BFF. After dinner we went to PriceBusters.
We checked out their candies and OMG! they had so many candies from our childhood...what a blast from the past!
Flicks, sixlets, munch, junior mints, goobers and big league chew. Even horlicks malt candy and much more.
Thank goodness I stopped at what I bought (I actually wanted many more)....ah! high fructose corn syrup at its finest.
HORLICKS! I have been looking for those for years. Do they still come in the medicine-like glass bottles?? I used to eat those like crazy. The sixlets used to be another fave.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memories:)
nope Deb, we were bummed because they weren't in the bottle and they were also made in Malaysia
ReplyDelete:( happy to bring some nostalgia your way!
Take care.

That's better than what I used to get at Halloween. :-O
ReplyDeletePrice Busters is always good for fun stuff you never knew you needed. I confess to on occasion buying Flicks, Sixlets and Toffifays there (you know "Toffifays are too good for kids, Toffifays are made for grown-ups." It just never seemed fair to me!) ;-)
ReplyDeleteI loved Big League Chew as a kid! It wasn't until much later I realized gum as pretend chewing tobacco is not right. :P
ReplyDeleteLOL, I can totally relate Kat. Here, I can still see childhood favorite gums, cookies and candies. Every bite was nostalgic! Isn't it nice to go back to our childhood once in a while and be young and naive again. Haha.
ReplyDeletewow, what kind stuff you got Rowena??
ReplyDeleteToffifay is so good Deb, was tempted in getting some :)
I guess it was like those cigarette gums too, Marie, you know the ones where you could puff out sugary "smoke".
Gosh to be young again Mikuru :)
Take care everyone.

ReplyDeleteTake care.
