A couple of weeks ago, we got together with my father's side of the family.
Besides re-connecting with aunties and uncles, it was great because we hadn't seen our cousins or their children in ages!
As most potluck parties in Hawaii go, there was tons of food.
Not to mention, almost every member of our family brought their ukuleles to sing!
It was a great gathering, lots of catching up, singing and laughter.
What a great tribute to your get-together...I bet that potluck was absolutely delicious! And love the ukulele bit :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes the ukuleles...there's always a musician (or 2, or 3) and that's like the best entertainment after stuffing yo' face. So...what did you make for the potluck?
ReplyDeleteFood was great Jude :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't make anything Rowena, just brought my appetite :)
Take care you two.
Kat
Food, family and fun--sounds like a fun get together.

It was good to see everyone again, especially your brother. Thanks for the pictures!

I love the part about the ukuleles! I always did wonder how prevalent they were in Hawaii - is it an instrument that's taught in all the schools?
ReplyDeleteNot sure if it is still a part of curriculum Su-Lin, but we did learn how to play the ukulele in my days at elementary school.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
