For the past week or so, we've had high temps mixed with humidity.
A bit early, but now that it is June, I guess it is par for the course.
Have been seeing summer veggies in the markets...this corn from Nagasaki was really sweet!
I also got some okra and vine-ripened cherry tomatoes from a tiny vegetable shop in Ikeda.
I am looking forward to eating peaches and more watermelon...
What are you looking forward to eating this summer?
Mangoes! Sweet, juicy, ripe white pirie mangoes from our backyard tree.
ReplyDeleteHi Kat - We're trying to grow our own corn and okra this year....along with all our usual peppers this year ....I hope it turns out.

I am still waiting for the high temps to kick in but it's nice to finally see a bit more growth on the tomato plants. At night time though, we still wear long sleeves and socks!
