honey murcott

I recently picked up a bag of these honey murcotts which were imported from Australia.

They are a type of tangerine and are super sweet.

I love that the pith is not white but orange too.

They have quite a lot of seeds and most are easy to peel.

BUT some were juicy while some were kind of dried out...boo!

Still, I'm glad we got to try these.

  1. I'm hesitant to buy fruits in bags. You can't feel each to see if they're juicy or damaged. Been burned so many times with a few rotten or dry in the bags so actually not a good price.
And, I finally caved to buy avocado from costco because everyone says they're good. NOT! I bought a bag, and while they're not spoiled, they are very watery and tasteless. BOOO.
We just saw sumo oranges in whole foods on sale for $3.49 from $4.99. Might be worth it to get a couple since I think the 10% Amazon prime deal applies.
