We checked out a new (to us) bakery, Takeuchi Bakery in the Umeyashiki area which is about a 30 minute walk from where we live.
Online it says that they have been in business for over 50 years.
Satoshi tried their bacon, egg burger...he said this was worth the 240 yen (tax included).
He also tried their veggie "dog"...fresh veggies put into a hot dog bun.
I tried their croq-spa...croquette & spaghetti noodles in a hot dog bun.
carby delicious!
We also shared this beni-imo anpan...anpan filled to the gills with purple sweet potato.
We'll be back!

One thing I've been noticing is that when you lived in Osaka, you had a many pictures of "frou frou" type bakery desserts, (hence my surprise upon meeting you that you are tiny, petite and slim woman, LOLOL) In Tokyo, your bakery purchases are heartier and looks less sugary.
ReplyDeleteJust my imagination, I guess :)
Regardless, everything always looks so good.
Once, you posted about cutting a curry pan open and putting lettuce and tomato with caesar dressing in. I really like that!

lol V, the price of cakes in Tokyo is super expensive like twice the amount from Osaka.
