this and that

I thought Chinese Peony season was over, but we found some when we went to Kawasaki this past Sunday.

This one is called "yubae" (you-bah-ay) which translates to "sunset glow"

These were super cheap...330 yen (plus tax) for the two flowers!

It was also FIL’s tsuki meinichi (monthly observance of his death) so these were nice to remember him with.

The faintest rainbow...thought the cloud was kinda different looking too.

Looks like a dolphin.
Tokyo People...super orange haired dude...AND his roots were green!
Yesterday, I went to Tokyo Doujiang Seikatsu after I ran an errand, I haven’t been here too often, but pretty much order the same thing every time (the peanut bun and scallion pork bun).

Except I stopped ordering the soup because it gets overly curdled by the time I bring it home to eat.

I got their plain soy milk...so delicious!

Since the last time I visited, they have started serving a "musubi"...hope to try that the next time I am in the area.

Today is Satoshi's birthday...I bought him this..because he doesn't have enough "padding" on his bum.

Have a safe weekend.

  1. I spy Mr Donut, Gyukaku and Tsutaya!! in the picture of the oragne hair guy. LOL.
    The peonies are so beautiful!
I bought a gel padding when I was in Japan few years ago to use on the plane because the seats are so hard, and I got a pretty flat, bony ass, unlike the rest of my body. Then it got too humbug and heavy to lug around so I was using it at home.
