let the pretty season begin

Yesterday, the weather dude saw 11 blooms on the tree at Yasukuni Shrine, Monday there were only 4...so since he saw the 11 (minimum is 5), he proclaimed sakura season begin in Tokyo.

Apparently with global warming and being a concrete jungle Tokyo is 10 days earlier than last year and even beat out Fukuoka’s start date!

In about a week, everything in Tokyo should be in full bloom (well, depending on the weather, could be later or sooner)

It’s the first time since the pandemic that hanami (flower viewing) picnics will be allowed plus the “no mask” thingy, it should be krazy everywhere…

Let the pretty season begin.
