It had been awhile since I visited Painduce.
Since then they opened a couple of shops, one which is closer to Umeda.
We tried their spinach black sesame and all grain bagels...I liked the all grain one better. The spinach one when toasted, was a bit too soft for my liking.
Still, we'll be back.

UPDATE: we figured out the spinach black sesame bagel was a nori black sesame bagel...sorry for the confusion, I checked the shop's sign and it was definitely spinach black sesame not nori.

camp
We tried a new curry place called Camp.
The decor was outdoorsy, and the restaurant is very tiny. Counter seating only 12.
Everything is made to order. You can watch them cook your curry in woks and then transfer them to piping hot cast iron skillets.
Everything comes sizzling.
How cute is having ice water in these thermos bottles?!
I ordered the onion, potato, cheese curry...890 yen.
This also had pork and corn in it.
And how cute are the little shovel spoons?
Satoshi went with their Daily Allowance (350 grams) of veggie curry...990 yen.
This had 14 different veggies in it.
His curry was a little on the sweeter side while mine was pretty spicy.
There are other curries we want to try and the veggies in Satoshi's curry also change with the seasons so it will be fun to see what they will use....we'll be back.

tajimaya grill
Luxe Tajimaya, which we visited back in 2009, opened a little counter inside the JR Osaka Ekimarche.
We recently tried their kurogewagyu sushi. Sweet and salty thin pieces of kurogewagyu (black hair Japanese beef), thick omelette, cucumber, a little lettuce.
Delicious.
Tajimaya Grill : UPDATE 12/2013 the shop is no longer here
