Well, I had also heard that the Koreans have recreated it and there are versions that are apparently sold in the little Korea area of Shin Okubo
While I was debating whether to look for it, I luckily came across a version at our Donki (Don Quijote).
I think the filling is made with white chocolate, pistachios and dried ramen/noodles.
The outside is milk chocolate
The original uses kataifi, a crispy puff pastry thread?!
Anyway, this version was sweeter than I liked
At 798 yen (plus tax) these weren't cheap, but I'm glad we got to try them.
