Thankful for another trip around the sun.

Yesterday we went to Team Lab's Planets & Borderless!

We've been wanting to check this out, but with the pandemic and life, just couldn't find the time.

After we saw my cousin's and V's experience, we decided to book tickets, the days we had orginally wanted were sold out, so we booked a couple months ahead and yesterday was our day.

When they say the water comes up to your knees, it is higher when you are short as Kat! ha!

And I am glad I did not fall in the area with that high water!

(Our appointment for Planets was at 9:30 and Borderless at 13:00...we had to rush out of Planets to eat lunch and get to Borderless but still made it!)

After Planets, we hustled to eat lunch at Tonkatsu Yachiyo near Toyosu Market, I had wanted to try their char siu egg, but it is only served on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays...boo!

Instead I ordered their nakaochi don especially since Satoshi said "we are at Toyosu, we should eat fish"...Nakaochi is the flesh that is leftover between the spine bones of fish (often tuna)...1600 yen (tax included)

I enjoyed this, the fish was tender and fresh.

Satoshi ordered their mixed fry...aji (mackerel), shrimp and I think katsu...2200 yen (tax included)

He said enjoyed this.

Then we rushed to Borderless which is located in the Azabudai Hills area.

I really wanted to experience this light bulb art.

We spent less time here (some art seemed similar to the ones at Planets) but still enjoyed it.

Parfaits at Del'immo....I ordered the Chocolat Orange while Satoshi had their Chocolat Banane

I spilt the teeny container of chocolate sauce...mottainai (what a waste!) boo!

After dessert, we walked to the Takeshiba area, so that Satoshi could check out a hotel that his upcoming tour will be staying at.

Dinner was at Yildiz.

We ordered our favorite, Lahmacun

And tried something new...Kiremit Kofte

Meaty and lots of paprika flavor...love!

Glad we experienced the Team Lab digital art museums.

Kinda low key birthday, but glad we were able to do and see what we wanted
