About the last week of April the postman woke me up from my nap to deliver a packet

When I opened the door, I was a little groggy and I didn’t recognize the sender’s name

I accepted the package and then kinda panicked because there have been incidents here where people send you stuff to scam you out of money

I texted Satoshi to see if he knew the name on the label but he did not

I opened the packet and was surprised to learn it was from my Dad’s friend’s daughter, L

There was also a note in the packet from my Dad’s friend, Uncle E which explained that L and a few of her friends were opening up Tiki’s in Yoyogi

(In Hawaii, we call adults that are close to family, "Uncle", "Aunty"...there are also some people that call any adult, "uncle", "aunty")

Apparently the original Tiki’s is in Waikiki. 

(When I worked in Waikiki many moons ago, I don’t recall them being there, so they must've opened after I left)

There were also beautiful cards in the packet, these were made by L

I wrote to Uncle E and emailed L to thank them both.

We hope to check out the restaurant soon and wish them all the best on their venture.
