Awesome! I was told there were male and female papaya plants (fruiting and non fruit bearing). Anyway, I miss my mother's unripened papaya stir fry with spam!
Mmm...I like mine with a couple of squeezes of lime and/or a scoop of cottage cheese. ;-)
You.are.so.darn.lucky. I'm craving fresh Hawaii papaya now!

I didn't know that Dennis! Green papaya with spam is delicious, I hope you get to have some soon!We usually squeeze lemon on top of watermelon papaya (the pinkish one), Debinhawaii, other than those, we just it as is :)Sorry Rowena :(I don't buy in Japan Kirk, for fear of being disappointed. The long one turned out to be sweet but not as sweet as the regular sized ones.Take care everyone!Kat

Been enjoying fresh papaya every morning...so delicious!
Look at this one...over 8 inches long! from a walking friend of my parents...hope it is just as delicious!
