Take pictures at the bon dance! I am never in the islands when they're on the calender...missing out on the fun for too long.

Kat, how have you been? Sorry I've been MIA lately or since maybe my vacation?! I've been busy (offline) and hardly catch up with blog visiting and even my own blog. =P I hope you are having good summer. Obon festival is coming? How nice! I need to learn tsukemono one day. It's so nice you are spending lots of time with your mom! btw, beautiful sunset...love the colors.

How I miss those Bon dances on Maui! We attended one in Hokkaido a week ago, but they only do two dances. In Hawaii they use dances from all over Japan plus new ones. Good fun!

MY weekend... not good, both in-laws are sick and one was sent to the emergency last night, so looks like the mr. will be staying back while I go on vay-cay, so much going on with house guests.. well actually they make it all better, both, at the same time are suffering from dementia, so weird how they are interconnected.

I've never been to Obon celebrations before, but my friends want to check it out, so I might go, will be in Hawaii for five days though..yippie.
