There is a cafe called Afternoon Tea that I sometimes have lunch at.
I went to try their keema curry the other day.
A slightly spicy tomato & eggplant curry over what I think was saffron rice.
That fancy thing that looks like half of a plate on top of the curry is called papadum...this was super salty and not crisp, so I didn't eat it.
I really enjoyed the pickled red cabbage & fruit chutney they had on the side.
A typhoon is approaching and our rainy season isn't even over (usually typhoon season is after rainy season)
Over the past couple of days, the humidity and heat have been really bad, in fact, Satoshi, who doesn't usually use the a/c much, has gotten up in the middle of the night to turn it on sometimes...summer looks like it is gonna be a doozy over here.
Hope the weather is more comfortable where you are.

My son is totally into curry. I think he might enjoy this one.
I feel for you guys on the weatherfront...definitely NOT visiting Japan during the summer. And salt/soft pappadum is so wrong; I can find the Patak's brand at our super (you just gotta fry or nuke'em before serving)--crispy results.
I think he might Jalna :)
I agree soggy pappadum is wrong Rowena...hope the weather is nicer in the chestnut forest!
Take care you two!
