I usually don't buy a whole cabbage because we usually can't eat it all before it starts going bad.
But I couldn't pass up the spring cabbage that was at the market the other day. 128 yen for the whole cabbage.
Relatively cheap for our area and the leaves were so big!
I made some stuffed cabbage.
And some cole slaw.
And with the rest of it I made some stir-fry with some ginger ra-yu (chili oil).
Can't wait for more Spring veggies to appear at the market.

Everything looks good! Cabbage is on sale this week because of St. Patrick's Day, so your post is perfect for cabbage ideas!
Nice-looking cabbage, and good job with all the dishes!
Wow that's a huge cabbage leaf!
ooh I forgot about St Patty's, Genki!
Thanks Jalna!
huge it was, K!
Take care everyone!

That's a steal at 128 yen. If I can't find a really small cabbage I only buy the halves, like you. Have you seen kohlrabi there? Found some for the first time ever at a organic store that was suggested to us. Not bad prices for non-GMO stuff either.
never seen kohlrabi in the markets but know that some places bring it in special, Rowena, which means it costs a pretty penny!
Take care.
