this and that

Tried this chocolate & butter salt popcorn which I found at the 100 yen store.
The chocolate popcorn had more flavor than the butter salt pieces.

And the butter salt popcorn was on the verge of going stale.

Glad we tried this but wouldn't buy it again.
Pierre Herme teamed up with 7-eleven again and came out with a coffee eclair.

Coffee jelly (gelatin), coffee custard and coffee whipped cream.

This was delicious!

Not too sweet and lots of coffee flavor.

Since the start of September our temps have dropped!

TMI: I think I started “the change of life” between vaccine #1 and #2…kinda hard to tell if I have a fever or if it is a hot flash…

Tokyo's numbers are slowly going down, but it is still high we are definitely not out of the woods yet.

Satoshi and I were thinking about going to Hawaii so that I can renew my driver's license BUT our biggest hang up is that we would have to quarantine for 14 days after returning to Japan.

We wouldn't be allowed to use public transportation to get home either.

Which means we would need to walk home from Haneda airport without coming in contact with anyone?! or stay near the airport?! kind of impossible.

So right now we are waiting for everyone's numbers to go down and hoping that Japan will change their quarantine policy.

We hope you are all doing well.

Have a safe weekend.

I had been meaning to ask about your licensing situation. Sure would be a pain to miss the new deadline, having to re-do written and road test. It's only a month away, Blah!

LOL about the hot flashes between shots. It would be scary to not be able to tell what is what.

That coffee eclair looks to die for. Sure wish the store here would carry stuff like that.

You live walking distance from Haneda? Wow! I read about how Japan quarantines the returnees but also that lots of people slip through the cracks.

My license expired Feb 2021 and if I pay penalty fees, I have until Feb 2022 to renew V. With the renewal extension, I would pay less fees. Crossing fingers we can get back before then. If not I would need to start all over (from the road test!)…yeah about 2 hours walking distance from Haneda

Take care.

Don't forget you need an on-line appt to show up at the licensing places. The appointments are well backed up. Book early.

Thanks Li. I was going to wait to make an appointment until I was sure we could travel.

Take care!

I was wondering if you guys could take a taxi home? I mean, with masks on, it should be okay?

I don't have a valid US license anymore but will be getting my italian one (when I get around to it, if ever!)

Rowena my understanding is no public transportation:(

Hope things get better so you can go back home to renew your license Kat! I did notice that the numbers for Japan; while still quite high are coming down.

Hoping the number of cases that are waiting for hospital beds goes down Kirk, I think it is still at about 10,000 for Tokyo!

Take care.
