minoo

Sunday, I stopped in at Abientot to pick up my lunch and this anpan. It is not like the usual anpan. The outside is a french bread. It may look like there isn't too much sweet bean paste in there, but there is just enough for every bite.

A few blocks up from Abientot is a neighborhood near the Minoo station where I shot these two videos. There were also many people out taking photos under the trees as well as many cars slowing down to take in the view.

Last year we visited the same area, and I posted about it here.

The two videos are shot from different points along the same road.

Mmm. Anpan.
You know what, I think I'll make dorayaki tonight! Thanks for the inspiration.

Ooooh...sweet bean paste in french bread? I like. Have you ever seen croissants with sweet bean filling too? Sounds like it would be a good idea.

Actually I have tasted a croissant filled with sweet bean and thought I posted about them Rowena, but it looks like I didn't :( Definitely matches!

Take care.

The anpan looks yummy!

BTW--just watched Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives w/ Guy on Food Network--The first (of two I think) Hawaii episodes and he went to Hank's. I am craving another Fat Boy! ;-) (Although the lobster dog was looking pretty darn good too.)
