Stopped in at Liliha Bakery and picked up these 3 cream puffs.The green tea version was nice, though it probably could have used more green tea flavor in the cream filling. I liked how they use the same chantilly frosting (tinted green) on top with the addition of macadamia nuts.
The original cocoa puff...filled with chocolate pudding and topped with chantilly. The chantilly seemed a bit salty this day.
And the mini cream puff, though I thought that it might be a mini eclair. Vanilla pudding and chocolate on top.
No sharing involved....just one sugar rush! and some Starbucks iced coffee straight up.
p.s. to the guys at Starbucks Hawaii...please make your iced drinks in short sizes!

Yes yes yes to Liliha Bakery cream puffs! (I may have mentioned before, they were my 1st destination during my last Hawaii trip! :)) These look so scrumptious.

BTW: Back in the day the short iced were carried--just not on the menu but when SBUX corp took over Hawaii they went away to align with the mainland. ;-(
mac nuts on the green tea ones? Man, they didn't add those on top the chantilly on my last visit! ^_^

Wow! You and Pomai @ Tasty Island must be on the same wavelength today. After reading both of your posts, I feel like I have sampled Liliha Bakery, despite being in DC.
I wish we had more green tea flavored things here. I find that most green tea flavored products are simply dyed green or have green packaging. Green tea flavor noticeably absent.
H, Sometimes I think that green tea flavoring needs to be overly done to be noticeable.
