it's here

Three months have passed since the Tohoku Earthqauke hit.

Debris is still being removed from many areas and there are still many in shelters.

Many are still missing.

There are many still donating monies though it is still having a hard time being distributed to the people.

There is talk of cutting electricity usage country wide over the Summer months to help out the several nuclear electric plants that had to be shut down.

You can already see some changes like the trains run with the windows open and some lighting in the stations and stores have been either turned off or lessened.

We're all trying to do our part...

I wanted to tell you that the Peko Peko Charity Cookbook is completed and now for sale at Blurb (update: this book is no longer for sale)!

Stacie, Rachel, and Marc put a lot of hours into getting this project together and I am honored to be a contributor.

100% of the profits will go to Global Giving's Japan Earthquake Tsunami Relief.

I'm not sure if they ship internationally, but they do ship to Hawaii...

I can't wait to see the finished product and have ordered several copies.

Hope you'll purchase your copy today!

Congrats! Going to order my copy now...
Been hearing a lot on NPR about office workers in Japan being encouraged to dress more casually (i.e., Aloha shirts) so offices can cut down on A/C costs and other cost-saving measures. ; )

Thanks Abigail! hope you purchase a copy :)

Thanks Manju! yes, "cool biz" as they call it means they can dress casual, I think they should do away with the suits all year!

Take care you two.

So in two to three years when the debris in the ocean from Japan reaches Hawaii will there be an Aloha for Hawaii? There's tons and tons and tons floating across the ocean!

Great idea for a great cause. Fantastic that all of the profits will go towards the Earthquake and Tsunami relief.
