this and that

Sunday, we went to Kawasaki to order my lenses for a new pair of glasses.

Luckily I'll be able to use my old frame and they'll just put in the new lenses this coming Sunday.

For them to change the lenses, it will cost 11000 yen (tax included) (about $110) for the lenses and the labor.

After we ordered the lenses, hung over Satoshi wanted to eat udon for lunch, so we checked out Marugame Udon.

He had their kitsune udon, while I went with the bukkake udon with a kashiwa ten (fried chicken).

Our udons together cost 990 yen (tax included).

Happy I found instant hiyashi chuka with the sesame based sauce...whoo!

Bought some Hio Ice cream...lemon & peanut butter.

The peanut butter was creamy with lots of peanut flavor.

We look forward to trying the lemon one soon.

Today starts the allowance of small group tours to Japan.

The guidelines are pretty strict, and probably "no fun" (mask up) but you gotta remember that we are still in a "pandemic".

Japan case numbers are going down (super slowly).

Hope you are doing well.

Have a safe weekend.

Hi Kat, your foodie post makes me hungry..looks so Ono . I'm wondering if you'll start to notice the change of seeing more visitors now that Japan is opening up and how the locals feel about having international tourist visiting.
It sounds like from articles I've been reading that the conservative rules of entry is not stopping visitors from traveling to Japan. They love Japan as we all do. Hope this all turns out well for locals and visitors.
Love reading your blog, thanked care,
Bonny

Thanks Bonny, I don't know if we'll see more foreigners since they need to be in group tours, but hopefully the case numbers will not explode here. I hope you are doing well.

Take care!
