this and that

Thursday’s yakiimo event was cancelled due to high winds.

We were really lucky to be able to check it out on Wednesday.

Tokyo people this guy walked pass me and I noticed he had these huge goldfish in his plastic bag.

Couldn’t get a good shot of the fish, there was more than one and the bag looked pretty heavy

I was worried the bag would break on the train…

This lady...I could see her hair from quite a distance away...

You may have heard that Japan will go “maskless” from May 8th

Why May 8th? it is the week after Golden Week. (though there are some government officials saying it may be earlier)

The part that has all of us saying WT? is for us to mask up the government had all these standards to follow, but now to go “maskless” they are now leaving things up to our own judgment…

Many in the medical field think it is a bit too early to go maskless, and would like to see our numbers, especially the daily amount of deaths to go down, especially since the government also plans to drop the level of severity from 2 to 5.

Dropping the level to 5 would make Covid the same as the flu, which will allow them to stop subsidizing vaccines.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be going maskless anytime soon, just saying...

“Eggflation” is starting to show itself here, 7-eleven started to lessen their egg amounts in sandwiches and have stopped making ajitama for now.

Hoping the price of eggs doesn’t get too krazy.

An import store in our shopping arcade was having a buy 3 for 1000 yen (plus tax) sale...there were different candies, chocolates and cookies, so I picked out these 3 cookies...one familiar and two from France.

Have a safe weekend.

ps today is the day we eat ehomaki...this year's direction is nan-nan-to (south-south-east)
