Their main shop is in Hawaii and they also have a shop in Tokyo.
It was about 30 minutes by train from where we live.I ordered the 8 piece sushi…1650 yen (tax included)They were delicious! super fresh
Loved the big mound of pickled ginger too
and what looked like uni (sea urchin) was actually their spicy ahi (tuna) (I think), yum!
I would have enjoyed the dashimaki egg more if it had been warmed up though
Satoshi had their sashimi set…1650 yen (tax included)
His set had 5 different fish, 2 or 3 slices of each, he said he enjoyed it (no photo)
His set came with a huge bowl of rice, pickles and miso soup.Loved the cute dish the pickles were served on.
We can see why Greg loves this place.
We’ll be back whenever we are nearby
And then we decided to walk, and ended up walking all the way to Yukigayaotsuka.
Before jumping on the train we stopped at the non-manned pudding shop, Purinyasan.
This tiny shop sells all sorts of different custards (what the Japanese call purin)Sushi Izakaya Gaku

So, I just looked up the current exchange rate for 1650 yen....it's $11.34/US. Jesus, you can't even get two pieces nigiri for that here these days! Nice find!
Honor system! Non existent in America! So refreshing to know it still existing in Japan.
Bonny ogg
wow, as KirkK says, maybe you can get 2 pieces of nigiri here for the price of your whole meal!
Gaku is very popular here among the Japan people.
v
That custard shop!!! 😍
whoa Kirk!
of course there are some who don't abide by the honor system here Bonny, but at least the majority still do :)
V, good to know :)
