This weekend since it was Satoshi's birthday, we decided to see a couple of movies. The first one that we saw was Umizaru 2: Limit of Love, it was about the Japan Coast Guard (Kaijohoancho). In February, we went to Kure which was the location of the first movie, "Umizaru" which I wrote about (here). Besides this movie, there was also a television "drama" (the Japanese word for soap opera) that preceded this movie--which you should watch before seeing "Umizaru 2". I won't go into too much detail about this movie, but it was nail biting until the very end!
The second movie that we saw was Goal! With the World Cup starting soon (or is it starting already?) this movie was released in Japan, just in time (although there weren't too many people who came out to see this movie). I had a hard time going between Spanish, British English and trying to figure out what they were saying by reading the flash of Japanese that came up on the screen, but it was a great movie.
Although both of these movies were packed with sit on the edge of your seat action, there were also part where it was so emotional that I sat there with tears rolling down my cheeks!
So much for these movies being "guy" movies.
Hope you had a nice weekend.

Hi Kat,
Thanks for the weekend wishes! It's been so busy the past few days that I feel I haven't had the chance to sit and properly read your blog. So now here I am with a cup of coffee (the tv on in the background tuned to Top Gun) and I'm relaxing with your posts ... that's my idea of a good Sunday evening!
Hi Ivonne,
Take care and thanks for popping in.

Kat: you may have noticed that Ito Yuna sang the theme song for that "Umizaru 2" movie. Anyway she was back home in Hawaii for the last few days and stopped by at the family restaurant this past Friday where I go weekly. She was cool enough to sign a bunch of stuffs for me and my friends.
Hi Greg,
I forgot to mention about Ito Yuna, thanks!! I'm glad you got to see her in her family's restaurant and I'm glad that you got some stuff signed by her.
Hope you had a nice weekend!
Kat
