You may or may not have heard that the Gaienmae area will be revamped.

I hear these ginkgo trees as well as hundreds more will be taken away. (the first two photos were taken in 2010)

I think Jingu Stadium and the surrounding buildings will be torn down as well.

It is sad that such a project was approved.

There are many protesting this project but if you'll be in Japan during the season when the leaves change this year, you may want to check out this area while the trees are still there, I’m not sure how much longer it will be around.
