While browsing in the health food store,
Down to Earth, I found a brand called
Navitas--which means "energy" in Latin.
They sell the popular goji berries, maca and also cacao. I got a 16oz package of cacao nibs.
For those of you who don't have a health food store nearby, you can also find these on
Amazon.com.
I can't wait to make something using these nibs!

Aah Gogi berries are awesome! I had them in a energy bar but most times I just eat a couple of berries straight around 7 berries. Too much at one time will do something to you. Have you tried promegrante juice? That's my other standard health food item. I love POM brand the best because it tastes smoother but costs a bit more.
I just got some dried goji berries from CostCo and they taste sort of like fruit flavored dust. Bleh.
When are you going to open your own on-line chocolate store?! With your ability to source out products ... you'd be a huge success!
My mom and dad are drink goji juice, I can't believe all the excitement over these little guys, Laura! I haven't tried pomegranate (sp?) juice, but heard it is quite sour.
Ooh, nasty, IAJB, hope you can find better berries.
Aww, Ivonne, you are too nice. But when I do open an online store, I'll be sure to let you know :)
Take care everyone!
Kat
Have you had goji berries before? I'd like to try them.
Hi Brilynn,
I've tried goji berries in Chinese desserts, they sort of remind me of skinny raisins. Hope you can try some, Navitas is also distributed in Canada!
Take care.

Sorry Kat, pomegranate, my spelling is terrible. Here's the link to the POM brand http://www.pomwonderful.com/
Okay those little berries are a hit with a lot people that want to get healthily and rid their physical aliments. I like them because they are powerful antioxidants much like the pomegranate juice, which is mix with the green tea, white tea, etc.
Yes! I've been on a health food kick lately.
I'm glad you are taking care of yourself, Laura!
Hope your week is going well.
Kat
