piman : update

Well, the bell pepper I planted ended up not getting much bigger. While I went to Hawaii in October/November, the weather turned a little cold and Satoshi had been caring for the plants, he tends to over water them, which unfortunately kills most of them.

After I came back, I tried to nurse it back, but it was too late. It turned a little orange and was kinda soft. All the leaves fell off the plant.

Not sure if it had a disease, it had some black flecks on the plant and fruit, so I figured we couldn't eat it. I ended up taking the seeds and will try again after winter.

Ack! Sorry to hear about the piman pepper. And it also just dawned on me that planting season is only 2 months away. Two months!!! I start tomatoes, peppers and eggplant indoors around the 3rd week of February. With any luck, if spring 2010 is much more mellow than this last spring, we may have a more productive garden. I can't wait!!
