standard bookstore

standard (2) The last time I ate at Standard Bookstore, I tried their chili dog, which I wrote about here.

Since then, I sometimes hangout here when the Starbucks below is filled and I want to have a cup of coffee.

The other day I tried their Standard Dog...this was topped with lots of sauerkraut, some relish & red onions...yummy! with coffee...780 yen.

The hot dog also came with a salad and their delicious mashed potatoes.

standard (3) Satoshi chose their ├ępice curry, this also came with a salad and drink...1030 yen

He enjoyed this, but I think the portion was a little too small for him.

standard Both of our meals came with something a little sweet...I think it was caramel flavored.

I noticed they've added sandwiches to their menu which I wouldn't mind trying...I'll be back.

It's the end of January, how time flies!

Hi Kat - This was the place that does "American" sized coffee, right? I just noticed that the dog looks fairly pale, almost like some kind of other wurst......

I'm going to have to remember this place!

It's so funny to think of a spot serving hot dogs in Japan...our world has gotten so small. Hope your week is off to a nice start~

I'm curious about the "newspaper" under your hotdog.

Haha - even I as a German have never seen a sandwich with Sauerkraut - where else do Japanese put this in to?

Actually Jalna, it is waxed paper that is printed like a newspaper :)

really Fabian? in America they add sauerkraut to hot dogs all the time :)

I know, it's the end of January already! I feel worried my new year resolution is not working so effective as I planned...I got sick and stopped exercise... can't believe it's almost over!

Food looks good, Kat!

I think if you do a little exercise when you can, you can keep your resolutions Nami :)

That's a pretty good deal with drink, salad and potatoes - you'll definitely need to go back. And about the end of January...where did it go?!

K and S said...

January just flew by, Rowena...I think our winter is just starting (again) here though, they are talking about minus temps over the next couple of days...brr!

Take care.
